This estate is located in the municipality of Almonte, a few kilometres from El Rocío and no more than 45 minutes by car from Seville and 30 from Huelva.
El Ranchito is a sustainable project that combines the cultivation of strawberries and other berries with the development of tourism in a leisure and events complex with more than 40,000 square metres of gardens, halls and equestrian areas.

It smells of earth and saltpetre because at times the sea breeze comesthrough the marshes. Pure life passing around a corridor covered withtall shady plane trees that protect you from the blinding light. In thebackground you can already sense a green paradise that invites you totravel and cross oceans, an experience for the senses.
A walk throughmeadows of fresh grass. Between bushes and shrubs of rosemary andmastic, palm trees and coconut trees rise victoriously and a drunken stickin the shape of a woman confuses the visitor, generating Caribbeanillusions. To then stroll again between cork oaks and olive trees and lookat a superb horizon of marshland where the sea can be sensed. A secretgarden where the coordinates of time and space are lost.

Between Europe and Africa beatsDoñana, a protected natural area that is home to a unique biodiversity inthe world, between the provinces of Huelva and Seville, in southernSpain. El Ranchito is located just a few kilometres from the national parkand also from the village of El Rocío, in Almonte, a place full ofspirituality in the middle of the Guadalquivir marshes.
The estate iscrossed by the Caño Marín, one of the streams that form part of thehydrological system of Doñana and which turns El Ranchito into a mirrorof the rich fauna of the surrounding area. Every sunrise or sunset isunique in this privileged spot. Come to the jetty, the best place to getengaged. Come and enjoy it.
Equestrian
Horses and Cowboy
Strength, power, wisdom, freedom. Themarshland horses offer a natural spectacle,without rehearsals or props. Watching thesesemi-wild cattle ride across the plains is a giftfor the eyes that awakens deep feelings. Anoble and beautiful army. Every year thepeople of Almonte fulfil an ancestraltradition, the “saca de las yeguas”, the ritualof transferring the horses from the grazingarea of Doñana to Almonte.
The sound of thehoofbeats on the cobblestones of the villagemarks a milestone that today transcendsborders. But apart from the event, El Rocío isthe international village of the horse. Andthere is not a day when horses are notpresent in this area, the cradle of “domavaquera”, a perfect combination of man,horse and fighting cattle. El Ranchito iscommitted to horse riding, which you canenjoy all year round in its facilities, whichalso host exhibitions and championships.

The world of Berries
It is said that a young man from Moguerdoing his military service in Madrid broughtseeds of a then exotic fruit to the fields ofHuelva. Others say that it arrived with theEnglish who colonised the province in theheat of the Riotinto mines. Its origin is amystery, but there is one great certainty: thiscrop has been the driving force of theprovince of Huelva since the mid 1970s, a redgold that opened the door to an innovativeagriculture that today is also synonymouswith sustainability.
Strawberry, raspberry,blackberry and blueberry. The world ofberries is steeped in numerous stories andlegends. The strawberry was a symbol forVenus, the goddess of love, because of itsheart shape and red colour. It is said thatsharing half of one of these fruits withsomeone of the opposite sex is a real lovespell. And there must be some truth to thiswhen the ancient Romans used these fruits asa remedy to combat, in addition to a host ofillnesses, the symptoms of melancholy. Don’tresist trying them on our farm.
El Rocío
The Spiritual Village
Legend has it that in the 15th century a hunter found the image of a virgin in a tree in a place called La Rocina. Behind this story there is a
social and religious phenomenon that crosses borders. The devotion to the Virgen del Rocío brings millions of pilgrims from all continents to the village of Almonte every year, generating a flow of visitors that goes beyond fervour and faith.
El Ranchito is also a place for these encounters, surrounded by the milestones of the paths that lead to the sanctuary and converted into the ideal enclave to get to know these traditions and participate in this great event.
